It's much more interesting than the caricatures I usually see in here my native country, because of the perspective as well as the dynamics, and the painted "feel" of the background really just adds a nice, contrasting touch to the cartoonish style.
What is the deal about this "Porsche presidency" anyway, if you don't mind me asking?
Here's the explanation, straight from the article: "...a label to describe the idiosyncratically sybaritic image President Benigno Aquino III created for himself when he got a Porsche 911 Turbo, not too long into his presidency..." In other parts of the article he was described as underperforming, and that he doesn't listen to the advice of his experts.
I'll quote the article on this since I personally think it's a bit biased, and I actually don't share several points that the author discussed.
Well, I must say thank you for the explanation! It provided my understanding of the piece with some extra depth, and even got me laughing once again, because I knew more about the interaction between the caricatured characters. I'll say it again, just for the sake of emphasis: AWESOME.
